Read of the Month: November

I decided it's high time I read some real modern classics. I've always preferred to buy books by not-so-well-known authors and give them a chance. Most of the time it's been a good read. But sometimes the ending is just so unsatisfactory that I feel bad for wasting my time on the whole book.
That is why I made a list of modern classics worth reading (with proven good endings!) aand "1984" by Orwell came up first (because I found it well hidden under pile of other books at home!).
I've read more than 3/4 of it and it's just brilliant! If you ever have the chance - read it. I'm sure you won't regret it!

  1. Yes, I'd love to spend a summer just catching up on the classics. Glad you started catching up on those necessary reads. Happy Wednesday!

  2. Nice blog :)
My favourite book of all time is To Kill A Mockingbird, not so unusual but you gotta love it!

  3. I love Orwell! I read Animal Farm in school - I should read it again! I love classics although they can be a bit intimidating to start. I tend to alternate between classic and modern novels. So good!

  4. I will read only if I can wear those awesome-ass glasses too! :)

  5. Hi, Lily!

I like reading classics because even if I don't enjoy the reading, at least I know they're very well written and they'll teach me something.

Thanks for dorpping! And as for your questions, for that particular Weddology post, I just Googled "favors" and check lots of links that resulted from that search. Ruffled and OnceWed are wedding blogs I alwsys check for that section in my blog.

    Hope you're having a nice day! :)

  6. I LOVE 1984! I agree with needed to read some classics. I am hoping when the snow comes I find myself more often with a good book than with Netflix.

  7. One of my faves too! :) I'm trying to set my reading goals for 2011, can't decide between Classics or Biographies. (The 2nd may be boring though.) ;)

An old myth says that if you leave from a blog without sharing your opinion about a post, a little raccoon will sneak in your room tonight and it will steal your favourite pair of socks! Beware!
