it's sushi time!
Today my super sweet boy brought me some sushi just because I mentioned last night that it had been a long time since we had some. And although he was sick with the flu, he went out (without me knowing of course! otherwise i'd have locked all doors!) and brought me my favourite - a whole hoso maki set! Eeek! Isn't my boy the sweetest?

Read of the month
The book of July is really colourful and pretty - it's called "Popism" and is by Andy Warhol himself and Pat Hackett. Truth is, I've only read a couple of pages, but I'm really really sure it's a good read. Why? Because every book about the life of an artist is a good read, isn't it?

Monster Card Club!
I've recently rediscovered these cute monster cards that I made a couple of months ago and wanted to share them because I soo love them! It's a pity that pictures can't show they're textured (which is, actually, their strongest point!) but i still wanted to show a little sneak peek :)
Every single card is one-of-a-kind-piece-of-cuteness and there aren't two similar ones. They are made with love and are a perfect gift for just about everybody!

Unexpected One
As always, this painting was supposed to be something waaay different. It actually was - a portrait of a girl with beautiful brown eyes. I pretty much liked it until screwing up the colouring of her clothes so bad I couldn't fix it. Soo... i decided to overlay some red paint, and then came up with the idea of those... round flowers :) I like the composition but hate how I can still see that there has been something else underneath. It looks really bad on room light and absolutely fine on natural day light... So I've gotta find some really special place in my home if I want to hang it sometime. :)

A boy with a toy
I hadn't done anything on Photoshop for quite some time and I just wanted to do something different. I usually erase the outlines once I'm finished drawing the sketch, but this time I decided to keep them. I also wanted to do a different kind of colouring and it turned out better than I expected.
The main reason I used photoshop for some drawing today was actually this: I am pretty excited about my "art wall" and I can't wait to see it finished. It only has 3 drawings now but I'm planning 7. I even bought some frames today! It's going to be so much fun once it's all finished! Yay!
